Terms & Conditions

1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions apply to all cleaning and related services provided by Mercedes Cleaning Professionals to clients in New South Wales, Australia. By booking or allowing us to commence work, you agree to these Terms.

2. Our Services

We provide commercial, residential, and specialised cleaning services including:

  • Commercial and office cleaning
  • Childcare centre and education cleaning
  • Medical and clinical cleaning
  • End of lease and bond cleaning
  • Retail, strata, and gym cleaning
  • Post-construction cleaning
  • Packing and relocation preparation services

3. Quotes and Pricing

All quotes are provided in writing and are valid for 14 days. Prices exclude GST. A 10% GST will be added to all invoices.

Additional charges may apply for after-hours service (+25%), public holidays (+100%), carpet cleaning, window cleaning, or where site conditions differ from those described at the time of quoting.

4. Booking and Access

Bookings are confirmed in writing. You must ensure our team has safe and timely access to your site at the agreed time, including working keys or access codes, power, water, and adequate lighting.

If we cannot access the site within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time, a cancellation fee of 50% of the quoted price will apply.

5. Cancellations

The following cancellation fees apply:

  • More than 48 hours notice — no charge
  • 24 to 48 hours notice — 25% of quoted price
  • Less than 24 hours notice — 50% of quoted price
  • Same day or no-show — 100% of quoted price

For ongoing contract arrangements, 30 days written notice is required to end the service agreement.

6. Payment

A deposit of 10% of the quoted price is required upon acceptance of your quote to confirm your booking. This deposit is non-refundable if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice or do not show.

The remaining balance is due within 7 days of invoice. We accept EFT (bank transfer) only. Overdue accounts attract a $25 administration fee per month. Services may be suspended for accounts overdue by more than 14 days.

7. Quality and Re-Cleans

If you are not satisfied with the quality of our service, please notify us in writing within 24 hours of completion. We will assess the concern and, if warranted, arrange a re-clean at no additional charge.

8. Liability and Insurance

We hold Public Liability Insurance of at least $20,000,000 and Workers Compensation Insurance as required by NSW law.

We are not liable for pre-existing damage, fragile or unsecured items, or consequential losses. Damage claims must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of service completion with supporting photos.

9. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Ensure the site is safe for our team to enter and work
  • Disclose any known hazards prior to our arrival
  • Secure valuables, fragile items, and important documents before we begin
  • Provide a smoke-free working environment for our staff

10. Privacy

We handle your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. We only collect information needed to provide our services and will not share it without your consent.

11. Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a resupply of services or a refund for a major failure. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any unresolved disputes may be referred to NSW Fair Trading or the courts of New South Wales.
