Workplace Health & Safety

Work Health & Safety Policy

Mercedes Cleaning Professionals is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for our workers, contractors, clients, visitors and anyone who may be affected by our cleaning services.

We recognise our responsibility to manage health and safety risks so far as is reasonably practicable. Our work is carried out in homes, offices, commercial buildings and shared spaces, so safety must be part of every job, every site and every decision.

Our safety objectives

  • Provide safe working conditions and safe systems of work.
  • Identify hazards and control cleaning-related risks.
  • Use chemicals, equipment and PPE safely and correctly.
  • Provide clear instruction, training and supervision.
  • Report, review and respond to hazards, incidents and near misses.

Management responsibilities

Management is responsible for providing safe work procedures, suitable equipment, appropriate PPE where required, worker instruction and supervision, and timely action when hazards or safety concerns are reported.

Worker responsibilities

Workers must take reasonable care of their own safety and the safety of others, follow safe work procedures, use products and equipment as instructed, wear PPE where required, report hazards and stop work if a task cannot be completed safely.

Consultation and continuous improvement

Mercedes Cleaning Professionals encourages workers to raise safety concerns, report risks and suggest safer ways to work. Where changes to tasks, equipment, chemicals, work sites or procedures may affect health and safety, workers will be consulted where reasonably practicable.

This policy applies to all Mercedes Cleaning Professionals operations and will be reviewed periodically to support safe, compliant and professional cleaning services across NSW.

When a client gives us their details, lets us into their home, workplace or property, or shares information about a cleaning job, that information must be handled with care.
